Emilie Mahoney is an Associate Attorney with Kolko & Casey, P.C. Prior to joining Kolko & Casey, Emilie was an immigration staff attorney at Tahirih Justice Center in Falls Church, Virginia, where her practice focused on humanitarian-based immigration applications for survivors of gender-based violence, including asylum, VAWA, T visas, U visas, and adjustments of status.
Prior to that, Emilie completed a fellowship with RAINN and worked as a constituent services caseworker with U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen where she handled a robust caseload of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, student loans, consumer protection and veterans affairs.
Emilie grew up in Santa Barbara, California. She earned her B.A. in Political Science at Texas Christian University in 2018. In 2021, Emilie obtained her law degree from the University of Maryland, where she participated in the Gender Violence Clinic and was a member of the Maryland Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class.
In her free time, Emilie enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, attending live sporting events, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
